Books have always been an essential part of my life. I am never without a book; my books are well-traveled. Books have taught me so much throughout my life, and I am so grateful that the joy of reading was engendered in me from a very young age.

As a parent, reading is a precious gift we can share with our children. Sadly, children don't read as much today as I did. I believe children should be encouraged to read; in so doing, they will enhance their cognitive development and open up a world of imagination and creativity.

I am a runner and love being outdoors. I am very fortunate that I have traveled extensively, and much like reading, traveling opens your mind and gives you insight and an understanding of people, cultures, and history.

"The goal of my books is to encourage children to be kind and mindful of their behavior. It is a challenging world that children are growing up in. I hope my books help children navigate these waters more confidently, kindly, and ultimately happier."
